TASK 5: Drafting process of 2/2 twill weave

1 Take the 4 heald shaft and place it in front of the 5 Then take the fourth warp thread and draw in through
warp beam. the first heald eye of the fourth heald shaft.
2 According to the design, take a first threads from 6 Likewise draw all the warp threads(e.g)
          warp beam and insert it through the first heald eye of 1 → 2 → 3 → 4 → 1 → 2 → 3 → 4
the first heald shaft with the help of heald hook.
                                                            1 = First heddle on Shaft 1
3 Then take the second thread from the beam and
draw in through the first heald eye of the second 2 = First heddle on Shaft 2
heald shaft. 3 = First heddle on Shaft 3
4 Then take the third warp thread and draw in through 4 = First heddle on Shaft 4
the first heald eye of the third heald shaft.
7 Repeat across the width of the warp.

TASK 6: Denting process of 2/2 twill weave
       1 Take a reed. • Dent 3: Threads from shafts 1 & 2

2 Put the heald hook and draw the 2 threads per dent. • Dent 4: Threads from shafts 3 & 4
3 Take first two threads from the heald shafts and draw 4 Likewise draw all the threads
it in the first dent of the reed e.g.
                                                            5 Repeat across the reed.
          • Dent 1: Threads from shafts 1 & 2
          • Dent 2: Threads from shafts 3 & 4

TASK 7 : Construct satin weave (5 end) (Fig 1)

       1 Take a note book.
                                                              Fig 1
       2 Draw a 5 × 5 grid (for a 5-end satin repeat).
3 Set the Binding Points – Place dots using a satin
         progression of 2:

         • Row 1: Column 1
         • Row 2: Column 3
         • Row 3: Column 5
         • Row 4: Column 2
         • Row 5: Column 4

4 Mark Warp Floats (X), the empty spaces in each
row represent warp threads floating over four weft
         threads.
5 Repeat the Pattern extend the design across the grid
         to form a continuous weave.
